Nothing to do with music but, from time to time I can see that my computer is downloading data when I have done nothing to initiate that. I know that it might be Microsoft or others automatically checking for or downloading updates, etc. I always wish I could look at a list of sites accessing my computer over the internet.

So my question is - Is there a (free?) program that will monitor my internet activity and display (and also maintain history) of what sites (like pgmusic.com, microsoft.com, CIA.gov etc.) are uploading, or downloading, or otherwise in contact with my computer.

Anyone got the answer?
