2012 is gearing up to be the worst year of my life. My wife was recently diagnosed with a terminal illness, and will probably die in 2012. My employer will probably close the doors in 2012, making me unemployed at age 59. Personal health issues are also on the rise.

But TODAY, my wife is still alive, and I can kiss her warm beautiful face. I am thankful for that.

TODAY I have A JOB and money to put food on the table for my family. I am thankful for that.

TODAY these cracks on my hands haven't yet spread to the fingertips, so I can still play my guitar. I'm thankful for that.

I'm thankful for friends here on the forum who make me laugh, make me think, and make me amazed by the things they are doing with music.

I'm thankful for the folks at PGMusic, who have provided such amazing and useful software that I look forward to seeing what they'll come up with next.

There is more to be thankful for than there is to be afraid of. Given the choice, I choose to be thankful. "God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind"

Colossians 2:6-7

"As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:

Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. "

To anyone else who chooses to define blessing in terms that transcend this earthly arena, I wish you a happy day of thanksgiving. To everyone else, I hope you have a day filled with the love of your families and with all abundance in every way.
