Well!
I figured this out myself!
The problem wasn't a setting in the "Notations Option" dialogue, nor was it related to the amount of "Ink", or a setting in my printer.
This was the problem:
After I entered all of my notation, including rsst, it is necessary to disengage the 'Editable Notation Mode" button!
Once that is disengaged the "rests" that are entered in blue, all turn black!
If someone can now explain exactly "why" this feature is available in the first place, it would finally put my mind at ease.
There must be a specific purpose for this, huh?
Who's got the answer to this one??
