So bummed that I didn't have time to do it tonight. From the reports though, it sounds like the specific issue I was having has been resolved. I'll know tomorrow.

And as I said earlier in the thread..... even though everybody on earth swore up and down that my equipment was set up wrong, that I was an obnoxious arrogant jerk, that I didn't know what I was doing.... I will NOT say "I told you so....."
Especially since I can't really dispute the obnoxious and arrogant part....
Thanks SO MUCH to the support team for not only listening, but working hard to fix this issue. Rob spent 90 minutes connected to me in a remote session as we tried everything under the sun and could not resolve it.
This company's support team should honestly be the model after which other companies build their support. They truly go that extra mile.

Just to be clear, eddie: I think there were one or two that were stating that you had some type of a setup issue. For the most part, the way I remember the last 16 pages or so was that many suggested alternative ways of accomplishing your goal of mixing live, not that your setup was wrong. Shoot, for most of us, we would have no idea how to sniff out the issues that you and a couple others dutifully sussed out.
I'm very happy you'll be able to give your methodology a go. You are going to have some fun printing your various mix ideas to stereo tracks.
I will stand by my statements from earlier posts - a control surface and mixing in the box would be more efficient and non-destructive for you.
With that said, you should write a how-to guide for this particular type of hardware implementation. There might be other people that would really take advantage of some of this older gear with your insight.
Now, who is going to shoot me? I promised back on something like page 10 or so that I wouldn't post again in this thread and that if I did, I gave permission for verbal abuse to be sent down upon me and yet, like a moth to the flame - here I've done it and posted again.
Go mix some bands. Make some kids happy!
-Scott

Scott, this has actually been fun for me!! I smiled every time I had someone tell me to reset to default settiongs and start over. "Using ASIO drivers will fix it", followed immediately by "ASIO drivers suck". "You have something wired wrong" when there is exactly one wire running from computer PCI interface to the units. I loved every second. People were trying to be helpful, and that's what this place is all about. People trying to help each other. And I love this place for exactly that reason. A great bunch of people communing to help each other. I just knew it was a software bug very early on because of the depth of troubleshooting I did.
The hacker mentality never goes away. I love trying to find things that some device can do that was not what it was intended to do. Though I rarely find anything that has never been done before, new to me is just as good! I put a Chumby though some paces and finally threw it away after going to far. (Don't try to get root and add apps that were not designed for a Chumby....)
I remember back when I had a Texas Instruments 99-4/A and everybody on earth told me that even with their expansion box I would never get external drives to work with it. 6 drive controller cards later I walked into a club meeting with hard drives in my computer. It cost me $600 and MUCH soldering to prove it, but they worked. Finally.
What my pal Joni once said is true. I'd bury myself alive to prove I know how to use a shovel.
Would you inbox me so I can ask you some questions about control surfaces?
