The 2012 upgrade manual says about 60 RTs have the Simpler RT option. My BIAB shows only two - Piano, Acoustic Jazz 140 and Bass, Acoustic Jazz 140. Even when showing all RTs both N/A and Tempo out of range, only those two show. Will someone check their 2012 and verify? It is the 2nd to last column in the RT picker.

Also, does anyone know if the Simpler RT is the same as the Simple or Very Simple variation?

I can confirm. On the test machine where I did not load any of the new RealTracks, I also have just those same two.

I'll check the production machine tomorrow, if someone else hasn't answered by then.

Yes, about 60 have been made, and an updated st2/xt2 files is required to enable that. I'll check with Development on that, its possible that the rest will come in a patch in a week or so.

It is a different approach, but the same idea. For those bass ones, we made separate RealTracks entries. With these ones, you just select a checkbox, and can do it for the whole song (all instruments) with a single click. FWIW, the simple option checkbox will be available on the bass ones as well, and that would get you a slightly different 'simple' than the dedicated simple option - just because it was done by a different method - likely not noticable.

We plan on adding the simple option for all the RealTracks that could benefit from iit (ie ones that aren't simple to begin with). The first batch are the jazz ones. Likely will take a few months to get them all done, but in the meantime, the initial batch (60) should be a good start. .

We found the problem, where the simples weren't displaying in the RealTracks list, and that'll be fixed in the next patch - should be live with the next installs (so people downloading later today would get the new file). And of course we'll put the patch on the site.
