Me gustaría saber si es que existen, que archivos contienen las bases de datos de solistas, melodistas, etc.. donde se encuentran y que nombres tienen y con que programa se pueden abrir (word, excel, bloc de notas, etc...), al efecto de por ejemplo poder buscar por determinado instrumento, solista, melodista o base de datos .... También que eligiendo un estilo nos diga que solistas, melodistas o base de datos tien...Espero haberme explicado. Gracias

Hola Jose Rafael, tu pregunta había sido contestada ya, hace algunos meses tuvimos algunos ataques de mensajes spamer o de publicidad basura en nuestro servidor, y varias preguntas o respuestas fueron borradas accidentalmente durante el proceso de eliminación de los ataques. Asi que gracias por hacerlo notar. Te transcribo a continuación el contenido de la respuesta que yo personalmente te envie hacia la tercera semana de Diciembre del 2011.

Hola Jose Rafael, interesante pregunta, Band-in-a-Box maneja internamente una serie de archivos que le proporcionan información y datos de configuración de diferentes aspectos del programa. Muchos de esos archivos vienen en formatos estandard como por ejemplo txt log ini, pero la gran mayoría no estan pensados para el acceso o uso directo por parte del usuario, con algunas excepciones. Sin embargo pueden ser "leidos" por el Notepad, WordPad o utilidades similares y compatible. No se recomienda en todo caso alterarlos o manipular la información contenida en ellos, ya que podría afectar el funcionamiento de la aplicación o cambiar parametros específicos que necesita el programa para su correcto desempeño. Una de las excepciones es por ejemplo el archivo: BBW.LST el cual contiene los parámetros de configuración de la lista de estilos que maneja Band-in-a-Box. Este archivo contiene incluso instrucciones que indican acerca de su uso por parte del usario, pero debemos recordar que por su naturaleza textual, se requiere de cierta habilidad y cuidado para no alterar los resultados o el funcionamiento del programa. Se recomienda igualmente hacer respaldo de cualquier archivo al que se piense de alguna forma acceder o cambiar, de modo de poder retornar a su estado original.
Otro archivo interesante es RealTracksFolderNames.txt, el cual contiene una lista de todos los nombres relacionados con los RealTracks y su correspondiente numeración.
Igualmente en algunos casos podría llegar a ser útil el acceso a los archivos INI con el objeto de personalizar aún mas ciertos aspectos del programa, o incluso corregir en algunas ocasiones errores de inicio de Band-in-a-Box.
Aqui voy a sugerir un tip o consejo para enterarse de cuales son los archivos que Band-in-a-Box utiliza y modifica con frecuencia. Consiste en dirigirse al directorio raíz de Band-in-a-Box, generalmente C:\bb y seleccionar "detalles" como forma de vizualizacion del directorio y sus archivos, pero teniendo cuidado de discriminarlos por Fecha de Modificación descendente. De este modo los archivos de acceso frecuente siempre se encontrarán de primeros en el listado del directorio de la carpeta.
Personalmente he logrado cargar o "montar" algunos archivos internos de Band-in-a-Box en progrmas de bases de datos tales como Excel o incluso Word, pero se requiere de cierta pericia para adaptarlos a dichas aplicaciones. Por regla general procuro no tener que hacerlo, ya que Band-in-a-Box ha sido concebido para dar la suficiente información como para no necesitar de otros medios para accederla u organizarla. Y en cada nueva versión, como la recien salida 2012, se introducen mejoras y optimizaciones para tales fines.
Finalmente una palabra de precaución. Se recomienda especial cuidado con el acceso de muchos archivos internos de Band-in-a-Box, los cuales, aun cuando pueden ser accedidos por programas comunes como editores de texto, se encuentran escritos en código no intepretable por el usuario del programa, y a los cuales solo deberían acceder nuestros programadores en PGMusic. Cualquier cambio o alteración de los mismos podria conducir a la necesidad de reinstalar completamente la aplicación si no se dispone de un respaldo de dichos archivos.

Muchas gracias. La información es útil para mi. Una sugerencia sería que pudieramos acceder a esa información como sucede con los estilos en formato CVS para pasarlos a excel.
