Am thinking that, if the plugin needs physical ram that isn't available, the windows allocated disk swap is unable to keep up with things and creates the inevitable timing problem.

Don't forget that a reboot is mandatory after changing the cache size like that.




That's a possibility. I've manually set the disk Cache in the past to cure problems with other software and hardware. This PC is managed automatically so there might be a chance for a fix there. I'll try later and report back.
