The VST synth settings are saved with each song (I believe) so the problem will likely persist. filkertom's settings idea will work for a *new* song, but if another song is loaded it will reload the synths from the saved song file.
I think your problem will persist with the way things work right now;
maybe put a post in the wishlist section to be able to save default setups, as currently I think BiaB only saves one synth in the default setup.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
