I hope that RealBand would work in the following way:

a) Case

1. Open audio file
2. Manually adjust the seq file that the song starts at bar 1 having a 2 bar offset in the beginning.
3. At this phase the tempo is still unknown
4. Highlihgt desired amount of bars from the start of song. For example highlight 12 bars by listening the audio file.
5. When user presses Tempo adjustment (toolbar) arrow up/down
RealBand should keep the bar one fixed by adding space to the first 2 bar offset.

Let's say we have a 12 bar blues. If starting point is fixed I could adjust
tempo as long as 12 bar is reached and find the exact tempo.

At the moment when tempo is increased the starting point of song falls below original
bar 1 to the reserved area of 2 bar offset. However this may be a challenge in programming.

The approach works if I manually add/remove space from the 2 bar offset after every new tempo
adjustment. Yes, finally the exact tempo is found.

b) Case

Basically the highlighted area (amount of seconds) might be also input for RB File-->File Utilities-->Tempo Calculator. So by opening the Tempo calculator the seconds (selected area, duration) could be filled as preset field value.

Thank you for your time
