Hi Everyone.

I have a MIDI file for a guitar solo.... that I have just imported into BIAB (2011 for now, I have not loaded up my 2012 upgrade yet). I also have the paper copy of the music sheet showing the notes and the TABs for the song.

Since the Midi file did not use the Channels 11 to 16 (as is customary for guitar tabs) to specify the position of each finger on the fretboard as shown on the paper copy... I get a totally different set of TABs when I view the file in BIAB's notation window.

With me so far? LOL

The long way to fix it is to do it manually and assigning the correct channel for each note one at a time... but that's insanely tedious work.

Another way I just discovered is if I open the Virtual Guitar Fretboard window... then I can click on one of the numbers at the bottom of the fretboard corresponding to the "position" on the fretboard i.e. 3rd position, 4th position etc., until I found a position that matches the TABs shown on my paper copy. I am guessing this the correct way to do it (I can see a lot of the TABs match correctly but I haven't checked every single measure to be absolutely sure!) But is this the only way?

Assuming this is it... I don't see a way to SAVE this information in the BIAB file.. as no matter how I save my file, next time I open it I find the notes have revertered back to their original position.

Anyone has an idea how to do this?

Thanks in advance.
