downloading just now....i have a fast system but this is sloooooow...i have been using pro 2011 and i have ordered the megapak 2012.....it might be a firewall issue.....i am using windows 7 and security essential.....can i disable the security when i am downloading the upogrades and can you tell me how?

the 1400 file wiil be greater than 12 hours my pc informs me.....help!!!!!!

The speed of your system has little to do with it; your Internet connection is far more important. Do you have DSL? Cable? Dial-up (shudder)?
Which browser are you using? Find a download manager add-on, which can help you download multiple files, and/or resume downloading if it stops at some point.
You do have sufficient free space on your hard drive, right?

what can i do i have run into a brick wall here and have only downloaded the first 8 files...i have othr things to do tonight i did not expect this......what if i HAVE to break the ,payed for, download connection?

I have a program called "Internet Download Manager" ... it speeds up downloads of everything, and lets you manage the downloads much easier. (there are similar tools out there, you could likely search for the various ones).

I downloaded , and it took a while, just gotta let it run. Remember it was your choice to download! could have ordered the ahrd drive, then it might take 24 hours! ;-)

I would turn off the virus scan while downloading. If you are concerned with files from PG Music (I'm not), then reactivate the virus software and scan the downloaded files.

It sounds like you might have started all of the downloads at once. I'd suggest that you try downloading one at a time.

Relax, you have a link to your download page sent to your email. You can try again later, or even in a few days. If you have any trouble getting the files, or if you want to have the DVDs shipped, you can contact us.
The MegaPAK is quite a large step up from the Pro version, there are alot more RealTracks files included. You can still install the Band-in-a-Box 2012 program and use it, even if you haven't yet finished downloading all the RealTracks in your order.
In addition to the Internet Download Manager program that Peter mentioned, there is a Firefox plugin called "DownThemAll" which I use alot. It is an excellent free download manager. You need to have the Firefox web browser installed to use it. Not only does it speed up downloads, it allows you to highlight all the links on a page, and set it to download them all automatically.

Yes, just save the email containing the download link. You would have received this email automatically when you placed your order. If you don't see it, check your "spam" or "junk" folders in your email program, the email might have ended up there

If you lost connection or see it stalling, it's OK, just stop and reconnect. You don't get just one shot at it. Your link(s) will likely work for days.
I'd reboot everything, including modem and router (if used) and then start fresh. I have basic cable connection and none of the files took even close 12 hours. If that doesn't work, try download manager, as suggested ^
The problem is most likely a connection issue. I've had times when an internet router went down between MI and BC (imagine that; cross country and international)
Tracert showed me exactly where the problem was, so I waited a bit and continued later when the internet router issue was resolved..
