Keep your fingers away from the blade.
Push 'down' as you push forward (table saws kick up and at you at the back of the blade if the guide pinches or the wood warps from the relief of the cut by binding) Having a piece of wood tossed at you is no fun. I've been hit from across the room when someone else was using the saw.
