I run BIAB 2012 Build 349.
Could anybody duplicate what I found while I was working on Syracuse song ?
Style : _JAZFNKC.sty
Chords sequence : //4/4 C //2/4 A7... //4/4 D-7 //
First bar has a 4/4 time signature, 2nd bar has a 2/4 time signature and third one has a 4/4 time signature.
- for the 2/4 bar, the Bass tone is generated and we hear it but the note is shown on the staff.
- the bass is muted on the 2 first beats of the next bar following the hold (or shot).
This issue don't seem to be relative to a particular style, use of _SL16ELG.sty produces the same effect.
If I don't put a shot or a hold on the 2/4 bar, it works fine. What did I miss ?

That's so weird; I just ran across the same problem, but had shots instead of holds in the 2-beat measure. What I ended up doing (which worked for me) was to just keep the 2/4 measure as a 4/4 measure, but double the tempo for just that measure. I set it as 100% tempo increase, then in the next measure set it as -50% to bring it back to the normal tempo. By using percentages, I'm able to change the overall song tempo and keep everything relative.
But, I agree, it did not work correctly with the 2/4 measure. I thought it was weird that I didn't hear the instruments come back in until halfway through the following measure when I had it set for 2/4 with the shots.

Glad to know I'm not alone on earth with this question; I did'not try with shots, but I understand that you get the same results as me when I use holds (missing sounds and notation missing).
FYI, I have sent to support PG people an example of a song with this issue. They replied to me that the question will be directed to developpment people, and it should be candidate for a fix. So, Wait and see.

Why is this 2/4 problem not being fixed? More importantly, why does PGMusic say that this feature is supported when it has been broken for so long?
There are so so many songs that have one measure of 2/4 in the middle. For example, I sure wish I could jam to Little Wing, but I can't because it has one measure of 2/4.

Does your song include 2/4 bars with holds or shots ? The issue was related to 2/4 bars AND holds or shots in these bars.
