im trying to get my 2010 BIAB files onto the 2012 BIAB.

Its going to be much easier to put your 2012 BIAB into 2010 by installing 2012 into your old BB folder. Its possible to get your 2010 files into 2012 by copying them from your old installation into an installed BIAB 2012 but that CAN BE a real P.I.T.A. if you have lots of stuff to move. In order to do that you would have to identify each thing individually that you want to move that would not be included in 2012. In my case that means having to identify all the files and folders associated with 15 Norton Style sets, the files and folders associate with a half dozen or so PG music pieces of instructional software that I purchased several years ago, ,all the folders full of songs that I've created over years and years of using BIAB, a God knows what else. That BB file has gotten packed with lots of stuff over the years and I made the mistake of installing an new iteration of BIAB on a new computer recently and eventally had to go back and copy an older folder and install into to get my Norton styles to all work.

Installing into your old folder keeps all your third party add-ons etc intact and also backs up your old 2010 installtion while updating your BIAB to include your latest purchase.

If you really have to get your files and folders into your usb BB folder, just open up the BB 2010 and the BB 2012 folder and drag and drop. If all you have is your created songs, then that should be easy, but anything extra increases the difficulty.
