As a newbie, have finally gotten BIAB 2012 Everything loaded, what a great program! Far exceeds my expectations.
I haven't gotten around yet to hooking up any of my external synths or my other VSTi plugins so I am using the internal BIAB sounds for now until I get a better understanding of BIAB. On the Midi/Audio driver setup page, I have selected MS GS Wavetable Synth as the midi output driver. Over on the right side of that same screen, I've checked "Use VSTi/DXi Synth" and right below that it shows the VSTi/DXi Synth setting using Coyotoe WT. I think so far I'm OK...I think.
Have noticed here on the forum talk of other Coyote products: Coyote Forte RT and on the Coyote website, mention of the Coyote Forte Dxi. Are these other products something that I should look into? Do they have better or different sounds or capabilities?

The Coyote Forte Dxi has better sounds yes. You can install the trial version and see if you like it. The WT version you have installed already is just using your internal windows soundcard sounds.

What computer and O/S are you using? 32 bit or 64 bit?
Gives us a better idea.

Well, usually, you fill your lungs up with air and let out a howl, starting with an AH sound and ending with an OOOH sound... Usually works best while looking at the moon... Oh, I see, not that kind of Coyote... My bad...

Be aware that the Coyote wavetable that comes free with BIAB is not the same as the Coyote Forte DXi, which is definitely better... and for only $40, it's a lot of bang for the buck. Even if you have a good hardware synth, having a good soft synth allows you to render MIDI directly to audio, which is very convenient and fast. That's the good news.
