If you need it, you can download SFPack here. However, SFPack files have a .pack extension and SFArc files have a the .sfarc extension.

I do know that a lot my downloaded soundfont files were double compressed, first with SFArc or SFPack, then with WinRAR or WinZip.

I remember the first time I got a RAR file (and I've owned WinRAR for over a decade - and have never paid another penny for it); I decompressed it only to find it was an SFArc file - what to do. That's when I found out about the SoundFont specific compression utilities.

SFArc is a fairly old program, so if you are having problems (especially with it crapping out on you, and knowing that a lot of the Soundfont files had fairly long file names), I would move the file closer to the top of your directory tree. Maybe create a folder called C:\SF and do the work there. Just a thought.
