Hi Angelo,

Do you have a back-up copy of your USB drive with 2011.5? If not, the first thing that I'd be doing is getting hold of a second USB drive and making a copy of 2011.5. It's also necessary to make sure the names of the two drives are the same.

USB drives are not that expensive now. Copying will take a while, but: (a) I don't trust computers at all and the program is too expensive to lose; (b) if something goes wrong with the upgrading process, there original files are all still untouched and in their original, working condition.

I'd use the back-up copy as the drive to update.

Remove both USB drives from your computer. Re-connect the backup copy of BIAB to your computer and test that it works and that the menu shortcuts correctly link to the drive. Doing this should ensure that your computer now sees your back-up copy with the correct paths for BIAB and RB. When you are confident that the backup USB drive is running just like the original 2011.5 drive, run the 2012 upgrade .exe files that you downloaded from PG Music and double-check that they point to the correct USB path for \bb and \realband.

That should give you 2012.

As mentioned earlier, if something goes wrong, your original drive is still in its original working condition.

Hope this helps,
Noel
