Hi, I'm new to RealBand, so maybe I'm missing something obvious. I have two midi "tracks" that represent the recording of two different VST instruments via midi keyboard.

First let's be clear. The midi tracks are recordings of the midi data alone, not of the VSTs. You can apply any synth (VST or otherwise) to the tracks after recording. It's important to realize this to avoid confusion.

Second, the audio tracks you elected to save with the midi tracks are of the audio rendered by the synth selected at recording time. This could be different from the synth you choose when rendering to wav. Hence you can have totally different sounds from the two recordings.

In addition, it is possible for there to be a delay between the midi and audio recordings. This is due to what is called latency, the time it takes to process the midi data into audio. So it is possible to have what sounds like tempo problems between the two.

As a test try selecting just the two midi tracks by Alt-left click. When the two midi tracks are highlighted render to wav using the Merge audio/DXi tracks to wav menu command. I think you'll find this cures the problem you are reporting.

In the future I would NOT accept the audio recording as well as the midi unless you have an overriding reason to do so. You can always convert the track to audio later if you need to.

I hope this helps.
