This kid is local. They showed him with his MacBook, he did each track including cymbals etc. with his voice. There are other effects there, I'm a bit challanged when it comes to that. I only sort of hear whistling, and real cymbals are for the most part right out. But here goes. http://youtu.be/RM7jFrPEeu0Imagine if he had band in a box. He was in the very prominent local Boys/Mens choir here for quite a few years, now going to Uni in Toronto.

I was aware of the Todd guy. The local tv news did a spot on this kid. They had him do cymbal sounds and my wife said they sounded good. I just can't hear cymbals any more. Even if they bury them in the backyard for a year. I couldn't make out the noises he was making.
We took in a show. Without my hearing aids I got about 3 words per minute. With them on I got 6 words a minute. I guess Sherlock Holmes will have to wait until it comes out with the CC thing overwriting half the screen. I havn't been in months, and then it was to the fancy theatre with the drink service in your seat for opera which has sur-titles. I guess I'll stick with opera.

Here is a link to the tune from the A Capella album (which was actually 1985) and it best exemplifies the processing and tweaking of samples that Todd did to create "instruments". There is a "synth" sound under the bridge that is a great example. Something To Fall Back On I love what sampling can do!!
