Thanks Peter, Steve, and Mitch. This was a hybrid midi + Real Tracks production, with midi instruments featured in the intro fanfare, and melody, and the drums and solo sax tracks coming from the musicians' talents stored in those Real Tracks recordings. The melody was input using the piano roll window, and the last verse was harmonized using the jazz strings melody harmonies #80. The recording was a simple single stereo rendering, no multi tracking or major post-production.

While I doubt Anton D. ever heard a bossa, or a funky sax solo, these sounds have become as prototypical of American Jazz in the twentieth century as has the electric guitar in modern rock, and for that, I think Anton wouldn't mind, given that this work (New World) was in large part a tribute to american sounds and things anyway. Thanks again for your listening, and for each of your special gifts.

(Love your Schumann quote, Steve. So much comes from what's already there, right?)
