It's been raining for most of the day, so I have a legitimate excuse NOT to mow the lawn, wash the car, or do the gardening. My wife has gone shopping, so it's just me & the cat at home. I decided to fire up BIAB and have a jam session with some new found friends.

Neil Swainson played bass, and Brent Mason filled in on guitar. Terry Clarke brought his drum kit over, and Oliver Gannon dropped by to play a few songs. A couple of other guys called in – Miles Black, Mike Le Donne, Paul Franklin, and another guy I'd never met before called P.G. Artist. Funny name huh?.

We had a wonderful afternoon playing country, rock, jazz & blues, however they had to leave when my wife got home. But I'm sure they'll come back again.

Okay, I know I'm being silly, but I wanted to express my gratitude to Peter & the PG Team for making it possible for a lonely, hack piano player to have a lot of fun with some incredible musicians and continue to enjoy playing music.
Thanks guys & gals

Cheers,
Keith

What Pat, Mitch, Eddie, and Keith said .. er yeah!

By the way they came over here later and we jammed a while too! My fingers are sore!

One thing i just love to do is to open the Realtrack demos and solo over them, and strum along when they solo, and well you know!

keith, i'm guessing that you had a pint flagon or four of "tooth's" to share with the cat. did you record any of that session to share with yer m8s? i'll bet you really got to "tickin' the ivories" or, "pulverizing the PVC!" would love to hear it, amigo.

which just turned on a big bright spotlight in me wee oyrish 'ed...do y'all realize that we could jam together on skype FOR FREE? you only need a webcam (about US$30) and, of course, a free skype account. there is a slight delay so playing together would be difficult but, wudnit be fun to sit in and at least listen in and watch others making music?

maybe we should start another thread. anyone interested can count me in. i've longed (been keen) to see john conley "toot his own horn!"

Man, those guys get around! They must know the same trick Santa knows that lets him visit every house in the world on one night!

(are we supposed to leave milk and cookies for Brent Mason? I hope note, because that would be a bit creepy)

I think I have some of the same band every day. At least 30 tunes, mess about, change styles, play organ, piano, then the wife shows up with a horn of flute. I'm with you, but...I'm very very allergic to cats. (People with cat hair on them send me out the door it's that bad.) We always asked when asked out if they have a cat. It avoids the ambulance. That's happened 3 times, once the reply was, "but we put it in the bedroom."

Anyway, I anticipate the playing and running the band every day. When we go on vacation it's the first thing I do when we come home.

Don't forget to invite Wanda sometimes - she fiddles around a lot.

What I like most about" my guys" when we play (BIAB) is: none of them smoke, so I'm not subjected to second hand smoke; they all play in tune; the soloists can follow the changes; the drummer doesn't drink, or get bored with 3/4 meter, or speed up or slow down, except where guided to do so; and I don't have to fight other instrumentalists to turn their volume down from "11", so I can hear myself play... Thanks Peter and PGM.

Wanda eats like a frickin' horse!!

And despite Josie's comment, Wanda did NOT want to fiddle around.... in fact Wanda rejected me with extreme prejudice!!! Told me to go "play with your string crank!!!"
