I am happy with my ath-m50's -- but I am looking at getting a pair of the M-Auduio BX5a's for $149. I see a few threads here about them (and other places) and everyone seems to think they are pretty decent (with a lot of people calling them crap, too!).

Any ideas/comments? I am not sure how to hook them up to my tascam us-224, though. The Tascam has a a) digital out that looks like a single RCA female or b) a analog RCA stereo female out. The BX5a each have a TRS 1/4" (or XLR in).

Would I use an RCA (single for the digital) that Y's out to 2 unbalanced TRS's 1/4" (one cable that Y's)?
Or do I use a single RCA to TRS adapter from the tascam analog out (L & R) into the BXA5's (two cables)?

Thanks,

Kevin
