You can get it free here: http://www.voxengo.com/product/span/ VERY useful tool for helping with EQ. I hear it. It is high pitch and does not exactly sound like the fan when I put my ear near it. I do have a mess of wires which I will check. But take a look at this picture and you will understand why my first thoughts were the fan...
