Hi Everyone,

Josie and I would like to share our latest song and video called Hawks (Spread Your Wings). This is actually a re-write by us of an older song that I had put together a couple of years ago. The song was produced with with BIAB/RT's, Tracktion, GarageBand, Ozone 4 and iMovie.

We hope you enjoy it!

The dynamic duel does it once again!

Super lyrics, vocals, backing tracks and mix, pro all the way.

Hey guys I really like this song.
Very nice, good production, poetic lyrics and memorable hook.

Some of my favorite lines.
Snowflakes in the empty sky Like whispers in the wind
An angel or a phantom Memories can rob you blind
sometimes spoke of children The way you speak of plans
Neither of us settled down To hold their unborn hands

Just one nit.
The word hawk only appears once in the song and just doesn't work as part of the title for me.
Spread Your Wings And Circle Once Again might work better Imo.
Either way great song.

Spread Your Wings works. or with the subtitle: Spread Your Wings (and Circle Once Again).

Tim/Robb,

Thanks for your kind words and feedback. We'll most likely stay with the title as is, but we do appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

Bob & Josie,

Nice rework! I always enjoy your writing, and look forward to your posts.

And the word does appear twice - once in the song, and once in the title.

Nice work, as usual. In particular, nice lyrics.

The guitar gave it a bit of a funky jittery feel - a bit odd to my ear, but I liked the idea behind it!

Thanks for posting!

Hi Josie and Bob,

I remember this song from a little while ago. It appealed to me then and I love what you've done to it now. The video caps it off nicely.

All the best,
Noel

Hey Horst,

Thanks. Josie and I are really happy with the way the song and video turned out.

As for my off key, airy and raspy vocal - that's my trademark Man! LOL!

David,

Thanks for listening and commenting. The original track that I recorded about a year ago had more of a folk feel - this new one is a bit edgier and we think suits the song better. Josie put the track together and did an incredible job managing the arrangement, production and all of the RT's.

Hi Bob and Josie, nice job, particulary liked the part where you both sing together and felt it should have happened more in the tune but that's just my take on it. Good work

Cheers
