As I read your post, a some questions sprang to mind.

1. Have you tried disabling User Account Control (UAC) found in "Control Panel | User Accounts" ?

2. What directory is BIAB in?

3. What antivirus software are you running?

4. Is the latest build for BIAB installed? (If you've reinstalled BIAB, you'll also need to reinstall the latest build which #308 found at the below link.)

You also might try closing down BIAB, navigating to the BIAB directory and then deleting the files "Mysetup.DK" and "Intrface.bbw" found in the BIAB directory. Now start BIAB. This forces a return to factory settings.
