I just hooked up a Lexicon Alpha to RealBand. I don't understand how to deal with the latency. What I hear through the headphones is behind what I'm playing.

Any way around this???

Is that with the Alpha ASIO or MME. Try both to see? I suspect the ASIO will give best (lowest) latency performance.

It's with ASIO.. I had to use the generic one, the supplied Lexicon ASIO was just a lot of white noise.

Lower the buffers in the ASIO control panel until it goes to hell sound wise or the latency is acceptable.
This is not a setting in RB .it's part of the ASIO driver.

After dealing with latency with Lexicon Lambda asio,I found no control for latency in the Lambda control panel. I tried asio4all.in that panel I found all the controls needed. Ed

Interesting. Sometimes it's referred to in other contexts; buffer size, etc. Nothing like that in the control panel? This is an example I found on-line for the Omega control panel:

That more/less CPU is the latency adjustment.

There are two similar threads here. Both of these folk are confused with the use of their native asio drivers and asio4all.I haven't looked up these devices but I'm sure they have native asio drivers. That's what you should be trying to use.

Yes both the Alpha & lambda have native asio drivers. Uninstall asio4all and let's work with these native drivers.

If I had one wish it would be that people who ask for & receive help would follow through. When you don't it becomes just a waste of time for everyone. I'm happy to go the long mile to help but please follow through.
