At present, to hear a chord on beat 2 or 4, you have to go into the Chord Settings dialog box, click the radio button for the beat, and click the preview button.
Thinking out loud more about this:
If this were made possible, to step through the song one beat at a time, it would probably be helpful to have the user set the step increment. The default is 2 beats, and it could be changed to 1 or 4 (or 3 in a waltz style). Maybe even 1/2 a beat, to do pushes, but only if support can be added for more than four chords per measure.
A natural extension of this would be to change the step behavior of plain Enter the same way. This would perhaps make things easier for a beginning, since many of them write to the forum asking how to enter a chord on beat 2 or beat 4.
