I don't see why you couldn't use the hardware together, it's designed to run multiple boards.

Your computer specifications are something else, though.

Only 2 gig of RAM, and a single 160 Gig hard drive?

I would put in a second hard drive strictly to store your music on. I would also go with a faster processor, and SATA 6Gb/s drives and ports, because if you're trying to record 16 tracks at once, that's going to take a bit of hard drive work, especially if you're recording at over 16 bit, 44.1kHz. Recording at 24bit, 96kHz is going to use a LOT of Hard drive space REALLY fast.
