Thanks for the quick response. Your technique works, but requires multiple "twiddle my thumbs until done" renders. I set up a batch file in Sound Forge that converts all selected files with one operation. Even if the check boxes worked the way they imply, the drums would end up mono, which isn't usually the desired format. Guess there's no one-size-fits-all possibility here, so I'll use my SF batch file.
