Phil, Have a look at the following (as mentioned above "Styles (on the uppermost menu) | Stylemaker | Edit current style") - see image below.  Now click on "Guitar" (shown with the yellow cross) and you can see that there are no patterns listed for this style. This means that Guitar is not part of the style. (See the second image below.)  You needn't worry too much about this. All I'm trying to do is to show you that there's no reason to mute the guitar and strings because there is nothing there for them to play. That's how this style has been put together. Hope this helps, Noel
