Keith, that is more or less what I was asking.
A broadcast ".wav" file has a header with timing information, otherwise it is identical to a normal ".wav".
I didn't know Sonar would automatically align the file if it contained the timing data. I probably could have inferred the answer myself had I known as I use Sonar with BIAB regularly.
