Okay, I'll be viewing the online tutorials and the manual throughout the day but I can't even seem to get past what should be the simplest thing to do and one of the very first things to do. And that is, getting my finished Band In A Box(2102) songs into RealBand(2012). I know how to open stuff up (like in BIAB) but when I try to open up my BIAB songs in RB nothing appears! I mean, I click on "File" then in the box click on "Band In A Box" but when I do no files appear to choose from! When I try this with my (MP3) karaoke files they all appear and work. Same goes for the "Import" menu option. No BIAB files appear but the karaoke files do. I have lots of songs saved as .SGU files in BIAB but can't view ANY kind of BIAB file in RB. I noticed that for the "Files of Type" "MP3" appears as one of the files recognized so that's why the karaoke files appear but .SGU isn't listed. What is listed are: ".MID,.SE1,?G?,.KAR,.WAV,MP3,.WMA". I don't know what else to do. Any ideas?

After you click FILE and OPEN you should have the opportunity to drill to the dirctory where you .SGU and.MGU files live. Your files aren't "saved as .SGU files in BIAB". They will be in a file directory you named (or accepted the default name) and you need to direct your file open path to it.
You can search windows for .SGU files and it will find them so you know what directory they are in.
For me, I have a folder on my desktop called RB Songs.

The item in you list shown as "?G?" should pick up both SGU and MGU files. I suspect the problem is that your BIAB files are in a different folder that originally popped up. When you save your song files, you should know which folder you save them to. If you're not sure, then you can use windows search feature to find them. I would suggest creating a Songs folder and store your songs there, if you're having trouble with this.

Thanks all, got it!! It was a 2-step process, not the one where I thought I could just click on the "bb" file. What I did was look into my "C Drive" and located "bb" and clicked on it and there they all were. Life is good again.
