Would love to get the chords for
"Straight from the Shoulder"
It was recorded by Bing Crosby but, the Al Bowlly version is brilliant
When Al starts to sing there's some brilliant Eddie Lang style Guitar parts,
which could be Al playing but Lew Stone would often have a guest Guitar player
I can send anyone the MP3 if they wish.

The album is called "They called me Al"

Best Regards

Tony

Hi Tony,

Welcome to the forums

For future reference, requests such as this one usually get more responses if they're located under the BIAB forum rather than the USER forum. This particular forum is for those of us who have created original works that we'd like to share with the world.

Regarding the offer to send anyone an mp3, I imagine that that infringes some copyright laws and, as such, is not something that should be offered on these forums. PG Music have strict guidelines about this.

That being said, you should investigate the ACW feature in BIAB. From the file menu it's possible to load an mp3 into BIAB and have the program interpret the chords for you. My experience is that such interpretation is usually about 90% correct. I've found it really useful for getting me into the ball park and then a little bit of tweaking takes me the rest of the way.

Regards,
Noel

Dear Noal,
Having been a record producer for 55 years see, (www.arnys-shack.com)
plus being a member of the PRS due to running my own Publishing Co = "Arnys Music",
I for one am so happy you have these rules, being that it was recorded in 1934 I would have checked
with the MCPS whether it was out of copyright now, even then, I would only MP3 the Vocal refrain
which is where the guitar first appears, until the end of the Vocal Chorus.

Can anyone confirm whether it is Al on guitar or a Guest player

I will try what you have suggested and thanks for bringing out BIAB what would we otherwise
practice with.

Many Thanks again

Best Regards

Tony

Not sure what version it started, but on mine it's under File > Launch Audio Chord Wizard. Hope that helps.
