When I turned BB on yesterday and loaded a tune the chords were not displayed but that area of the program was black. I can still play the song and all other programs on my computer (Win7 64bit) are working correctly.
Has anyone out there experienced this problem and what did you do to fix it.

Hi darrello,
No I never experienced it before but there are couple of things you can try. Especially if you are saying only the part of the screen where the chords are displayed was black. If this is the case I suggest you go to "options preferences" and click "return to factory settings". If this does not get it done you may have to provide a bit more detail for one of the many here on the forum who know a lot more than I regarding these technical issues.

Sounds like a font issue. You can try resetting the font to default found in Opt | Preferences | Display.

It happens to me often (I'm using v.2012).
Closing the program and reopening again uses to solve the problem.
Latest BIAB version, latest build.

Have you tried . . . "options preferences" and click "return to factory settings".?

So I went back and reset the program to factory settings. It didn't fix it. i changed the font to no avail. I just don't see anywhere in Opt. where I can reset the background color of the chord display area. ugggg.
Any other thoughts??

Hi Darrello, When things start going wrong with displays, it's often a sign to double-check and see if there is a newer video driver available for one's video card. Also, following on from what Rachael said, have a look at "Opt. | Preferences | Colors" and try changing the color scheme to a different one (see yellow cross below) and see if the problem persists. There is also a setting with in colors to customize the color of the "Chord area" (see green cross).  Regards, Noel

I get that problem sometimes too. Return to Factory settings doesn't fix it, but Noel's suggestion of changing the colour scheme will. (it works for me anyway)
