Hi Godfrey.
First the mute/solo buttons.
The mute button will be green when a track is playing and red when it's muted.
When a solo button is clicked, that track's button will light up.
Any tracks which were muted will appear the same.
On any tracks which were playing, the mute button will turn red and the "M" will be replaced by a dash (-).
If more than one track is solo'd, the second and subsequent tracks will light the solo button, but the mute button will stay red and display the dash.
The colors - I agree, PT2012 doesn't appear to save the current track color with the SEQ file. It does save the new default colors. Support - please note.
The tracks - try going to OPTIONS - PREFERENCES - GENERAL and at the bottom of the dialog box select MONO AUDIO as the default track.
