Sal,

Very nice song. PTL! I really like your voice.
I don't like the drum track... To me it's not really working, maybe if the snare was hitting on 3 instead of 1, or maybe no drums at all. Still a very nice song!

Peace,
Greg

Greg,

Thank you for your input. Finding a drum track on the mega pack that works at this BPM isn't easy. I'll need to upgrade.

BB is fairly new to me. My ultimate goal is to get session players to hear the track and go for the real deal and put the up and down beats where they truly belong.

Be blessed man,

Sal

Welcome to the forum Sal!

Wow what a voice! I'd just forget the drums and add them when you get the everything pak. With a vocal like that who needs them. LOL! I wouldn't care if they weren't there and that is meant as a huge compliment.

Enjoyed it very much.

Thank you Josie,

I don't consider myself much of a singer, but I work cheap.

Had a chance to hear your stuff. It is so incredible to talk to folks like you who have accomplished so much musically.

I am very impressed, and appreciate so much your encouragement.

God bless you both,

Sal

Sal,

Welcome to the Forum! What an introduction! Great song, and great vocals. And a wonderful message! I agree, with a voice like yours, you don't even need the drums just yet. Keep up the good work, brother!

Has anyone told you that your voice sounds a bit like Ray Charles?

SD,

I love your username.

Thank you so much for your encouragement.

I do have some tunes to share. It is amazing to me how you guys can write so many tunes so quickly. I am very thankful for what I have, and hopefully more ahead, but I wish I could put songs out like the big guys and gals around here. I absolutely love it.

I am truly grateful for your words.

God bless Space Dog,

Sal,

wow, where to begin?

I would cut off all my toes with a dull butter knife if it would get me a voice like yours. (more likely that maneuver would get me the voice of a pig-squealing old man who has bloody stumps instead of toes, but I digress)

Very nice song, especially in the simplicity of a sparse accompaniment. I would love to run the same basic song through several other styles to see what they might yield.

Yes, given the Ray Charles similarity in your voice, I would like to hear the song with a soulful praise and worship style that includes piano.

In terms of embellishing the song as it is, I would definitely ditch the drums, and substitute a track of slow sustained B3 organ chords at approximately the same place where the drums kicked in. Then maybe to bump it up another notch the addition of strings about 2/3 through the song would add audio interest and intensify the message.

But hey... 1,000 listeners would offer 1,000 potential changes. Bottom line is that you already have a very nice song here.

I appreciate the fact that you are using your music as a ministry of praise for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I wish you much success not only as a songwriter but mostly as a person who seeks to share his faith with others through music.

Pat,

You're words are wisdom. I love you're humor. I'm still laughing brother, you are a funny man. I'm not as good as you think I am. I'm working at it. I so appreciate all the incredible talent that has stepped up to welcome me and enlighten me on so many important things.

I hope my next music post will let you and all the other greats in this forum know that I am listening and truly respect your input.

God Bless,

Sal
