and as you mentioned in another thread, Mac... if a person is sending MIDI to a soft synth, the output is audio which can then be sent to Amplitube for all sorts of interesting results. (I say this to flesh out the possibilities for others who may read this thread later)
IMO, Amplitube has created a lot of new sound opportunities that can enhance everything that has been part of BIAB/RB all along. Plus, it works as a standalone or plugin to enhance your own playing.
But it won't make your breakfast. Even Amplitube has its limitations.
