Hi Flan,

If I'm understanding the questions properly, it sounds like you want the guitar to play on beat 1 and then sustain the sound till the end of the bar (i.e. "hold"). If that's the case, try the following.

1. Right-click anywhere on the chord sheet and select "Chord Settings" from the pop-up menu (ALT+F5 is the keyboard shortcut).

2. From the dropdown box, select "Hold Chord".

3. Now click on "All except" and select which tracks you want to keep on playing. In the image below, the instruments that are on the Guitar and Piano tracks will hold a sustained chord while the others keep playing normally.

4. It's also possible to enter these commands by keyboard short cuts. This is done by using "..." To accomplish the above setting, I'd simply type in the chord, then follow it with ... and bds. Using bds says the Bass, Drums, Strings are not affected by the "..." notation.

Lastly, I suggest you look up "shots" and "holds" in the help file or the BIAB pdf manual. This might explain it a little more clearly than what I've done.

Hope this is what you were meaning,
Noel
