I imported a stereo .wav file into RB. Everything seems fine, I see the graphic file, but when I hit "play" it plays for about 1/2 second, then stops. If I hit play again, it will continue for another 1/2 second then stop again,---ad infinitum. The file is there, you can hear it for that brief second. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Does the cursor stop?
Does it play only a section that's highlited?
Or does it otherwise act normal and the sound just stops?
Weird
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

...the cursor moves about 1/4 of an inch,---then simply stops. If I press "play" again, it will move another1/4 of an inch,....etc. Nothing is highlighted. I know,---pretty strange. Back to the old drawing board........................

Does this happen with all wave file imports or this peculiar to one only???? What is your setup????

Only thing I can think of is to check your Options menu and make sure nothing inappropriate is checked, like sync source (should be set to internal) and auto sync chase (which may be looking for an external MIDI connection also).
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

I had a similar problem a while back in Sonar. When I switched audio drivers the problem stopped
(changed from ASIO to WDM)
Since then I've gone back to ASIO successfully in Sonar (different device)
