As best I know the old BIAB User map is gone.

I've set up a new one BIAB User map Please feel free to place your pin.

(You can edit/delete your pin for about an hour after dropping it.
If you want your pin to be edited/deleted after this time, please send me a pm.)

Agreed, a great idea. I travel a lot with work. Sint Maarten last month and Dominican Republic next week. I figure I have hit at least 12 of the states as well. I would find it interesting if there were BIAB ers in proximinity to where I am. Not saying we would necessarily meet but who knows. In any case I will continue to lurk on the forum and jump in occasisionally.DennisD

Tried twice to place a pin, I locate it in BC but when the map is generated I end up down in Nevada somewhere. Still a good idea.D

There are only 3 kinds of musicians: those that can count, and those that can't!

My pin is on it's Southern migration. It moved SE 100 miles (160 Km). Chuckle.

Nothing like Flatpicker Bob's migration. With his accent, it must be South Saudi.

Looks like the "black dot" of the pin actually marks the spot. And you have to expand the map to proper zoom level to see exactly where the dot is. But it is kinda neat

Dan, I was putting the point of the pin on my actual home at max zoom but when I zoomed out, it had moved way south. I actually saw my nursing home and the room I am in and my favorite gazebo when I placed my pin.

Great idea though.

I added a feature where you can now just type your address! That should help a bit. also you are able to remove and repin over the course of a couple hours. After that just let me know and I can delete a pin.

Such power - as Admin, I can actully remove anyone from the map at any time.

If I'd thought about the zoom feature I could have put the pin in my driveway. As it is I'm only a mile or two away. Purty good. Now, can we get PG to post a link to this thing?

I didn't put it right on my house, but more-or-less on Ann Arbor City Hall. Heh -- maybe I should've put it at my former addy. On Google Earth street view, you can not only see my van parked in the street out front, but my stuffed bear sitting in the passenger seat.

I thought about putting it directly on my house in satellite view; but this is an open forum searchable by the web, and in case somebody ever wants to kill me, I didn't want to give explicit directions to my house.

It says BIAB, but I wondered if you might open it to Power-Tracks-Man!

I do have an ancient copy of BIAB which I'm willing to install if not. (I think it's v.10)

We do serve real coffee, not instant, if anyone wants to call in.

ROG of course, all friends of the Forum are welcome. We do need to balance the map as today the US is tipping the scale, however as we sleep our Friends across the pond will be awake. I know we have a lot of Brits - heck we yanks love those charming accents (you Aussies too).

speaking of stuffed bears and your avatar... if you ever happen to visit the forest moon of Endor, I bet the Ewoks would make you the Alpha male. (if for no other reason, because of the size difference between a Filkertom and the average Ewok.)

And once you're the boss I think you should require all the Ewoks to take up smoking, just for the sake of Irony. I mean, they all look like little Smokey Bears, and a forest fire would not be in their best interest.

But, as boss you could teach them that only THEY can prevent that.
