Hi Leonard,
Quote:

Are these real tracks just recordings and you cannot use them for individual notes or will they play the same notes as the midi is playing?

Realtracks are recorded live performances that PG Music wizardry cuts into pieces, arranges the snippets into sequences and then assembles together into an accompaniment. Realtracks are audio files. (Have a look in the bb folder and double-click on them to have a listen in media player, you'll hear what they are.)

For example any soloist track plays the same thing no matter what song you put it in or can you write notes for the soloist real tracks?

This is probably because the present way the Soloist track works is to "freeze" whatever realtrack is generated on it (if this happens, you'll have an asterisk next to "Soloist"). It is possible to write midi notes onto both the Soloist and Melody tracks.

Now that you've had a play around with BIAB for a while, you should persevere and have a read of the manual. I suspect that you'll be amazed at what you discover that BIAB can do. I know I was when I finally got around to reading it.

Hope this helps,
Noel
