Jerry, you still have not answered John's questions and his request for more info. Dispite what I said about Dell, they likely will not be able to help you with your sound system setup with BIAB. This is a specialized area that you will be best instructed here. When you say "..slighly herky-jerky with, ... a little static ", with your MME driver this makes me think of a mismatch in the sampling rate between the program and your sound device. BIAB is at 44,100 Hz if you card differs it can make some nasty noises and will indeed effect quality of output audio.

Playback should not be any different with the ASIO versus the MME driver. The ASIO genrally is associated with lower latency which effects recording not playback. The MME is the recommended BIAB driver for playback as it is most often problem free.
