Command doesn't presently exist to my nowledge.
How I deal with it:

Hilite what you see and hold the shift key after scrolling backward (or forward) to where you want the start/end point to be and click on the track in that spot. Holding the shift key while doing this extends (or reduces) the track from the nearest start/end point.
Tinker with it.

Also for "from here to end' or "frome here to beginning" you can highlite a section, then double click the From-Thru box (either of them) to open a window to select beginning or end. Beginning is 1-1-0 and for the end I just select a number larger than actually exists and it goes to the end. If the song is 166 measures and you select "from-thru" with an end point of 600 measures, it will hilite until 166. If nothing exists, nothing will be highlited. Thats how it works here anyway.

This can only backfire when setting the "punch-in" range or something like that, where the program might think you actually wanted that section. Then you don't want to set too long of a range.. another example is extending the From-Thru then exporting a track. You may end up with a bunch of silence on a track.

I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
