Hi Dave.
I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I wish you well with your recovery. I'm fairly new to this forum, but one thing I've learnt is that everyone is willing to help, whatever the questions are.
Firstly, we could use some more details. Are you using ASIO or MME drivers? You need to be on ASIO to play soft-synths in real time. What sound source are you using and what MIDI settings have you got selected?
If you're not using ASIO and need help installing it, get back to us.

Was this a Victor Borge line? That cat broke me up all the time.
Edited portion . . . ask any question you like here Dave.

Hi Danny. It does sound like a Victor Borge line, but it's actually - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zHBN45fbo8You probably need to be British to have come across it. I've posted the short version, but if you find this funny, the full twelve minute version is also on youtube. ROG.

Hi Dave,
Let me add a voice of encouragement as you progress with your recovery.
I remember some of your early postings and was quite impressed at the time.
I pegged your level of orchestration as a goal to achieve. I haven't got there yet.
So keep plugging and keep looking up.
Don S.

Dave, welcome to the RSVB (Recovering Stroke Victim's Band). Sounds like we're in the same canoe. I'm mute and paralyzed on my left side. My mind is fairly intact when weighed heavily for Irish. (Chuckle)

Hi
thanks Don G and Don S for your good wishes im told that my strokes were minor so im quite thankful that they could have been a lot worse but im fighting cancer as well now so im hoping for a couple of miracles although they seem a bit scace on our NHS at the moment but i can`t complain as the service has been first class and you can`t play much anyway with ones fingers crossed but i will keep trying and be very thankful how lucky i am(so im told)

Hi Dave.
Go to the AUDIO PREFERENCES window and click the drivers button. Make sure the box for ASIO ALWAYS ON is ticked. From what you described, it looks like that might be the problem.

Hi Rog
i changed my asio setting from tascam 122 to asio4all and found i could play and hear my Wx5 but it gave me another problem although i set the midi on the track i was using to clarinet all i hear is a piano sound although it plays the recorded midi as clarinet, one other thing when you use power tracks asio does not work anyway so how you would use a WX5 to add a midi track
I always play the right notes but not always in the right order

Hi Dave.
Make sure you haven't got two tracks on the same midi channel. Also, if you've got some tracks on Coyote WT and on some Coyote Forte don't use the same midi channel numbers for both - this can cause problems.
Something else to check - in the MIDI THRU settings, make sure you're on TRACK SPECIFIC.
Get back to us if it still doesn't work.
ROG.
