Boy or boy you seem to be over analyzing all this. On one hand music is a business - and every one involved wants to make a buck. So if you want to swim with sharks you have to be prepared to anti-up and get bit at times. Now on the other hand music is a creative art which is a vehicle to express emotion. The true artist doesn' t care about the business side of music. They are the talent. Folks will find them or not. They don't need anyone else as music is both the jouney and the goal. The world is full of artists. You may be one, I am one, along with many of the folks here in the forum. We don't all have record deals - but we don't need them. Here is a simple fact. A lot of us artists just simply ain't that good. True talent is not given to everyone. Enjoy what you have not want you want. Be the artist.  Wow, don't I feel all zen right now
