I still have some problems with the statement: "My single costs 99 cent [on the internet]. That's what s single cost in 1960."

in 1960 there were many positions included:
Studio (recording and mixing staff, musicians including main artist)
Authors' rights
Manufacturing the carrier (vinyl single)
Label's Distributing and Marketing cost
Local store's income.

in 2012 there are more or less the same positions.
Studio (recording and mixing staff, musicians including main artist)
Authors' rights
Manufacturing the carrier (mp3)
Label's Distributing and Marketing cost
Local store's income.

What I would like to know is: What is the percentage of cost for these positions per item?
I remember having read somewhere, sorry -- can't remember the source, that selling the 99 cent tracks does not include roylaties for musicians.

Best regards.
Guido
