I'm thinking black, I'm thinking blues, I'm thinking of lyrics with a low smooth groove... I done got that line in my head And I wanna know the answer 'fore I go to bed Who wrote that line I ain't got NO money, honey and which song is it from? Could be rockabilly, early rock & roll, Southern country, maybe soul. I think its the blues but I dunno, its sung kinda slow. Sounds like da man is big surprised that his woman thinks he's stacked HIGH as the noonday corn. Down to you guys - someone will know the answer Thanks in advance

I agree. Circa 1958. I was a Junior in High School. Great memories! His real name was J. P. Richardson and he died in the small plane crash with Buddy Holly and Richie Valence. Tie breaker: What future C&W super star was Buddy's bass player and gave up his seat on the plane to Richie who was sick that fateful night? (Turn your monitor upside down for the answer).
