I have spent hours trying to find the right procedure for harmonies and can't seem to make it work twice in a row...so I apologize in advance. I couldn't find any tutorials that answered my question. Here is the process.

1. Chord out the song
2. Choose style, for learning proposes I use country simple
2. Enter a melody using the computer keyboard
3. Edit the melody using notation.

No Problem so far, this is easy.

4. choose harmony, again for training purposes I use "three part one above" very simple and basic

Here is where is gets weird.

5. I want to create the harmonies,
then edit and save all three parts on separate tracks
and then print the three parts out on different tracks as well.

It seems that when I switch to notation, all three parts are shown on a single staff and then when I switch to "print notation", the three parts are printed separately which is what I want.

However, it seems that if I try to edit the harmonies then I can't get them on separate tracks or to print separately after editing. There must be a step I am missing to allow me to edit the harmonies and still end up with three separate tracks, both playable and printable after editing. I get different results if I use the melody drop down menu and goto "convert harmonies to melody" or when I use the Harmony dropdown and use "convert harmonies to melody"

I hope this isn't too tricky to follow.

My ultimate goal is to get assistance in creating the harmonies and then send them separately to the vocalists in the group for learning their parts, both in written notation and midi converted to mp3.

Thanks in advance
