Hello,
I am using a real style in BIAB 2012. In the Song Settings I have selected "Generate 2 bar Ending for this song" and "Use 4 Bar ending for Realtracks". When BIAB hits the last note of the ending (beat 1 of the 2nd ending bar) the note rings for the remainder of that bar and fades out gradually over the following 2 bars, which is what I want. However, when I import this into RealBand it chops off the last two fade out bars and all I get are the first two ending bars with an abrupt cutoff at the end of them. Is there some setting that will permit RealBand to import all 4 ending bars?
Thanks, Ray

Ray, When I first started moving tracks from BIAB to RB used the DAW drag and drop. When working with realtracks and midi softsynth started Rendering all tracks to wav files. Then loading them one at a time into RB. If your not using the render to wav files for all tracks, you might give that a try. I just did a quick mix on WIP song. Very difficult to pick out entire ending, but do think the 4 bar is there. The swell right at end is kinda normal for realtracks I think. When doing a Test play right after RENDER, the song sounded the same as result your hearing. http://mp3cloud.mobi/10MinuteWaltz.mp3 Its not ten minutes, that was just a WIP title. All realtracks in BIAB rendered to WAV in BIAB loaded into RB, added PG DYNAMICS and Stereo expander. Fadein at front is in Audacity. No fadeout, only BIAB/RB created. Good Luck

Hi Frank,
Thanks for your suggestions. I followed them and rendered the BIAB real tracks to wave files first, then added them into RB it worked correctly. All 4 bars of the ending were preserved as desired. However, I had hoped that I could instead merely open my original BIAB .SGU file with RB and let it convert everything as needed. That way all the chords and track information would be preserved.
So, I came up with the following kluge as a compromise, and maybe you or someone else can tell me if there is a better way. Since all that actually needs to ring and decay after the first 2 bars of the 4-bar ending is the bass, I first rendered just the BIAB real bass track into a wav file. Then I opened the BIAB SGU file with RB and let it automatically convert all the tracks into its own format. This preserved all the chords, track titles, and everything else except the last 2 bars of the 4-bar ending, which got chopped off after two bars on all tracks. I then dropped the non-chopped off bass wav file I previously rendered with BIAB into a spare RB track and used that track instead of the bass track that RB imported automatically from BIAB. That seemed to solve all the issues, but what a convoluted procedure to have to go through!
I also noticed that the volume level of wav files produced by BIAB and dropped into RB is much lower than the same tracks if they are created by the automatic conversion of a BIAB SGU file into an RB SEQ file. I would think they should be the same, but I guess I just need to boost the output level of the wav file(s) I'm rendering with BIAB to match the level the automatic conversion produces.
I like your waltz and the ending did keep ringing as it should. From what I understood you to say, you did this by rendering each BIAB track to a wav file, then you added each wav to an RB track.
Ray

Ray,
Yes, partially...
I did render all tracks, but also the complete song is rendered to a separate track. For expediency, I simply loaded the stereo wav into RB. Saved bunch of time. But doing it that way would not be a final for me. Its much better to keep each track separate so you can mix "In the Box" so to speak.
I did normalize with the render, so it sounded reasonable.
Main reason was to test out the 4 bar ending for you.
Good Luck!
