From the above answers, I think you can conclude we are not certain of the answer. Here's my opinion:

The choice of chord voicings often depends on the chord progression and the intelligence BIAB is applying to give what it thinks makes sense. Sometimes it is incorrect, so I have had success "over-specifying" the chord. For example, if it plays the major seventh but I want a dominant seventh, I often write a ninth chord. To force a major sound without a dominant seventh in a jazz RealTrack, I might write Maj7, 6, 69, etc.

Try some experiments with this.
